CEO, Construction Infection Control Training Institute (CICTI)


James (JJ) Jenkins is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and the CEO of Jenkins Risk Management, LLC (JRM) and The Construction Infection Control Training Institute (CICTI). He has a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from the Evergreen State College and attended the MSPH Program in Industrial Hygiene at the University if South Carolina. JJ is a member of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), the North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association (NCHEA) and the Florida Healthcare Engineers Association.

Jenkins Risk Management provides infection control, industrial hygiene and life safety consulting services nationwide to Healthcare Owners, Architects, Engineers, General Contractors and Construction Managers. Jenkins Risk Management also provides indoor air quality, human resources, utility shutdown and emergency response support for events related to the healthcare functional environment. 

In 2012, JJ founded The Construction Infection Control Training Institute (also known as ‘sick-tee’). CICTI provides third-party accredited training and Certification programs for Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) to contractors, A/E firms and Owner Staff. CICTI also serves as an “Angie’s List” to their members for products and services related to ICRA and ILSM. CICTI’s training facility is located in Fort Mill, SC. CICTI also conducts onsite courses nationwide. To date, CICTI has trained and Certified thousands of people nationwide in hopes of facilitating a safer environment of care for patients, staff and hospital operations.
